Programs: Render A Block of Cloud in A New Way
I made a program that render a static cloud in real-time.
At about two months ago, I had seen a news - "Second Life acquires WindLight and Nimble Technologies!".
After watched Nimble 3D Cloud's Preview, it is too amazing. So I also want to learn it, but you can't find
anyting about it's technologies in internet. In everyday, I started to thought it since see the preview.
In a few days, I had got an idea. In about a month, the idea was prefected in advance. Then I was started
to write the codes.
Now, I got some preliminary results.
The program just use OpenGL and FreeImage library. So it will need't a high-preformance video card or other
that is a expensive deivce. Above are some advantages. It also have many disadvantages. In this program,
the illumination is't added and just rotate round the Y-axis(Vertical direction in OpenGL) because it was
restricted by some techniques.
In the future I will add the illumination and colour to the program. I think that it must use GLSL to
imple to rotate as your wish in 3D.
Finially, I will write it in papers. Try to submit it.
